Mother beats son for participating in riots
A Baltimore mother was shown on television slapping her son for taking part in the riots against businesses and police officers Monday afternoon and hauling him away. The mother saw her son on television throwing rocks at police.
Baltimore Police Commissioner Anthony Batts recognized the mother’s measures during a press conference early Tuesday morning.

“I wish I had more parents who took charge of their kids tonight,” he expressed, according to CBS Baltimore.
“Friends and everybody making comments and saying you know, you shouldn’t be mad at your mother, you should give her a hug,” pointed out Graham.
“And by him seeing everything what’s going on I just hope, I’m not sure, but I hope that he understands the seriousness of what was going on last night.”.
The video recording has been largely publicized as people seek solution to the disturbance, and it also attracted the observation of Baltimore Police Commissioner Anthony Batts.
Approximately 20 law enforcement officers were wounded in the riots and 1 individual was seriously injured in a fire, as confirmed by authorities. Police made 235 arrests, consisting of 34 juveniles.
Graham says immediately after she bought her son home they both together kept an eye on news coverage of the protests and riots on television. As photos of her response began to go viral, Graham states comments began showing up on her son’s Facebook page, numerous in backing of her.

“And if you saw in one scene, you had one a mother who grabbed their child who had a hood on his head and she started smacking him on the head because she was so embarrassed. I wish I had more parents who took charge of their kids tonight,” Batts said.
