Dylann Roof In Court Facing Charges

Several relatives of the 9 people killed at Charleston’s Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal put forward their forgiveness at Dylann Roof’s first court appearance afternoon.

“I forgive you,” the daughter of victim Ethel Lance, 70, said through tears to Roof, who appeared at the bond hearing via video-conferencing from jail. “You took something very precious from me and I will never talk to her ever again. I will never be able to hold her again. But I forgive you. And have mercy on your soul.”.

Dylann Roof In Court For Charleston Shooting

Dylann Roof, now arrested for the slaughter of 9 in a South Carolina Church, made an appearance in court Friday by means of video conference before the families of his victims. Roof, standing in front of 2 police officers, was charged with 9 counts of murder and 1 count of possession of a weapon during the Dylann-Roof-South-African-flagjudge and a crime imposed a 1 million dollar bail.

The 21-year-old told investigators that he was responsible for the shooting that killed 6 women and 3 men. Roof was shown once pictured wearing an apartheid-era South African flag patch and had apparently informed police that he aspired to initiate a race war.

One family member of a victim articulated in court and said he hurt her and a lot of people but she forgives him and that god forgives him. Storm will appear in court again October 23 and after that again February 5th.
